Yes. We use tempered or laminated safety glass sized to meet BC Building Code guard requirements, and laminated glass stays in place even if a panel is broken. Heights and loads are confirmed during design for your specific deck or stair.
Guard and railing work on decks and balconies is often part of a building permit, and requirements vary by municipality (Vancouver follows its own Building By-law). We provide drawings and engineering where required and coordinate with your builder or strata.
Rain-spotting is the main issue. A mild soap and squeegee every few weeks keeps panels clear, and we can apply an optional hydrophobic coating so water sheets off.
