Common questions about skylights

Why is my skylight leaking?

Most skylight leaks come from failed flashing or membrane around the curb, not the glass itself. We inspect the full assembly and reflash or replace the unit as needed.

Can a skylight be added to an existing roof?

Usually, yes. We assess framing, roof type and slope, then cut in a new opening with a proper curb and flashing. Structural changes may require engineering.

What is a walk-on glass skylight?

A walk-on skylight is a structural laminated glass panel rated to be walked on — often used on roof decks or floors to bring daylight into rooms below.
