What is the difference between frameless and semi-frameless glass railings?
A frameless railing uses thick tempered or laminated glass panels anchored at the base — either in a continuous aluminum base shoe or on individual stainless spigots. There are no vertical posts, so the glass reads as one continuous sheet.
A semi-frameless railing uses slim aluminum or stainless posts spaced along the run, with glass panels clamped between them and often a top rail. It still feels open, but the posts add visible structure.
Which option gives the best view?
